I am doubtful about your claim, I went to school for mechanical engineering. But, I don't know enough to say it can't be done and I will still help you along. First off, get it patented and not from some cheapo with a 1800 number. They screw people over. After that, get a prototype built. Once you have a prototype, try to get it into a car from a junk yard. If possible, drive that out to Detroit. If not, just take a working prototype or at the very least a mock up. show the automakers that your idea works either through demonstration or engineering analysis, preferably a demo. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be something that they can work with you on. They won't bother with some guy who has a couple ideas sketched out on a napkin.
