A couple of things...
1.) Masks don't work.
It has been known for 100 years (since the 1918 pandemic) that masks are ineffective against the aerosolized spread of viruses... which is primarily how Covid is spread. If they worked we would wear them every flu season.
That is why Fauci initially dismissed masks out of hand, because it is common knowledge they do not work. Nothing has changed.
So why are we required to wear something that does not work?
Good question, but I think it is mainly because people like to think they have some sort of control over things.
Now if you want to wear a mask I say go for it... BUT, do not be under the illusion it is protecting either yourself or anyone else because it is not. So if you act as if neither you nor anyone else is wearing one, you are safe. Otherwise you are putting yourself at risk.
If you are in a high risk group, that is critical information!!!
2.) Viruses always mutate... to a more benign form.
All of those old viruses... 1918, swine, SARS, etc ... are still around, but in a generally harmless form.
This one seems to be mutating to a more contagious yet less deadly form. That is good news.
3.) Don't count on a vaccine.
That is bad news, but we probably won't need one anyway.
