I will say that hitting the rev limiter in 1st gear doesn't sound like a good way to drive/shift, you need to shift earlier in 1st especially with this car and the TQ in 2nd. When I hit it on canyons it's always in 2nd. Or 3rd/4th on the track.
I am not waiting for the rev limiter to tell me to shift. My problem was waiting until it too close to redline to shift (yah, yah I've been called worse). Now I am letting off of the gas as soon as the tach hits 6000. I guess the lag between my seeing it hit 6000 and the time I actually let of the gas allows me to hit 60 mph. I've seen it register 61 once.
