The GT350R starts at $74,630 with 3.9 sec 0-60 mph and 12.1 sec 1/4 mile. A10 equipped GTs and M6/A10 SSes will run with it on the street. M6 GTs? fugetaboutit.
SS 1LE for $45k offers strong street and track performance. PP2 or 2015/16 base GT350s as street only cars?

Oh yes I have no doubts it will be an insane performer, which is why I already said its in a better vehicle. I was talking strictly about the engine and my comment was more along the lines of the majority here don't like engines where the power and torque are made in the higher rpms. I am curious to see if their tune changes now that GM is making an engine like that.

this guy gets it ^

Not so much the bias, the general consensus around here is the voodoo, coyote and for the most part DOHC engines that make all their power on the high end arent as good as LS/LT engines because they have no low end grunt and you have to spin them to the moon to make power. This 5.5 for the C8 is exactly that. I am by no means an expert but I do know if the rumors are true and it screams to 9K to make its power it sure as hell isn't going to have any low end grunt
I will say it will be hard to really compare because it will be in a mid engine vetter backed by a DCT and some of those factors are going to probably going to offset
