Yesterday the wife and I were doing our routine grocery shopping at the Military Commissary aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC. Understandably they were out of all hand sanitizers. However, I was taken back when we approached the meat department only to find 50% of the coolers BARE! Shortage of fresh produce. Hanging from all the TYSON chicken coolers (about 30' of coolers) signs saying "NO CHICKEN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE"? OMG are the chickens effected? Are people now hoarding chicken, pork and other meat products? Speaking to the Commissary manager I learnt I was wrong. I was told "VENDORS" like TYSON have taken it upon them selves to "REDUCE" the Commissary's order so they are able to distribute their product where most needed? I don't believe their product is being placed where it's most needed, Tyson is placing product where sales are booming, so we cut the Military Commissary order while they increase the orders where it's selling faster? This is by far NOT the first time Military families have had to sacrifice!
