I watch lots of news, and saw the whole statement in context. He speaks in choppy segmented incomplete sentences. You could understand if you watch what was said before and after, he was getting at the same thing. Hoax=unwarranted hysteria.
He decided midsentence not to expand on those thoughts or he would have been blamed for calling a real virus a fictional hysteria.
So yeah that's the problem we are facing, the more they create hysteria the more it will negatively affect our wallets. My small, diverse IRA got slammed this last week.
Imports from China haven't yet dried up and other countries can be sourced if all this doesn't end up in a sudden crazy Chinese factories all shutdown with no inter-country shipping or commerce.
If people stop spending on anything but hand sanitizer and facemasks and toilet paper we will all be broke later this year.
