Having resided in Buffalo, NYC and many years in Maine I also dreaded the winter months where I had to put my classic cars into hibernation. Usually about April I would disconnect the battery tender, remove the cover and pull them outside for a spring batch and detailing. I NEVER drove until ALL signs of snow were gone and we had a couple of rains to wash off the road salt, silt and sand. Before relocating to NC I (regretfully) sold my 1954 custom Chevrolet 3100 along with my 1968 Charger RT, I kept my 1996 Impala SS (six speed) that I just sold last July. NONE of these vehicle had any indications that they had spent time in the "salt belt"!
By the way, "Welcome" to the Forum and I must say you have a wonderful looking ride and I am sure you will keep it that way.
