I was an automotive CAD Designer for General Motors for the past 14 years. I was lucky and my dad got me in right out of high school and I was trained on the job. This was when GM was fat and careless with there money. Anyways, I was laid off last October perminantly with hundreds of others. I now work for the Government and am now designing military vehicles. The only downside to this kind of work is it's 7 days a week and I have not seen less than 70 hours a week sinse I started. Not a lot of time to drive the Camaro. The pay is very good though. The OT and DT over the last year allowed me to pay just about cash for the car.
