I have gone up against an M5, M6, Z06, Vette like mine, M3, RS4, IS-F, Viper and E63AMG... and have only been bested by the Z06 and the Viper. Truth is my Vette will probably equal this Cadillac. Withteh mods I've done to my Vette I have taken out Z06s, albeit without their cars having Mods. I would not be able to beat my V if my Vette was stock... No way.
Good to know! I've no doubt the LSA is powerful (hell, it's got 70lbs more torque than an LS7..)...it's great that it's also smooth, and seemingly flat.

Bah -- that's nothing an exhaust swap (or delete) can't fix.

Yeah -- that was a rumor going around for a while, though I'm not sure how true it was. It's not easy to simply "switch" an engine from OHV to OHC, they would require two very different blocks, and two totally different heads. I think whoever started that rumor misunderstood something. Given that the LSA is smooth as butter...I don't think there's even a need for a Caddy-specific engine lineup. I would simply engineer the refinement into all my V8s, if I were GM -- it would do nothing but benefit the rest of the brands.

Mm...not from what I've seen. You must visit some not-so-great Vette forums....The two I'm active on are relatively welcoming of the Camaro. Those who have an issue with it usually just say "it's not a Vette"...which is true.

Fantastic plan, if you ask me!!! I'm thinking I'll do the same when I replace the Cobalt. It would depend on what the other brands are offering at the time (Buick is looking hot lately)....we'll see.
