It's his right in a free county to either take the job with all of the responsibilities it entails, or walk. As a justice of the peace, it's his right to either perform his duty without prejudice, or take a hike. This is blatant racism and there is no room for it in a modern America.

No real difference, his values are that no one should get married right away, and right or wrong, he has the right to say "no I won't do it."
Even when other family members went to put pressure on him through to catholic system, he still refused to do it any sooner. And so the wedding is in Jan 2010, insted of Nov 2009.

That example doesn't apply to this situation. Your sister and her fiance could just as easily go to a justice of the peace and be wed tomorrow.
