I am in hopes that all of this is settled sooner than later and people get back to work.
With that being said, I can see why GM decided to shudder US plants and move jobs out of the country. From a business standpoint, it makes perfectly logical sense. Why would you want to pay a US Union worker $30 per hour to attach a rear view mirror, when you can pay someone in Mexico or Korea $30 per day to do the same thing? From GM's standpoint, the advantages of removing the Union from the equation are quite clear.
