This is highly toxic thinking.
Someone should not have to suffer pay reductions or worse health care because someone needs a part for their car or a repair done. Ride a bus, call a coworker or family member for a ride, ride a bike, walk. There are options.
This is not a worker issue, this is a greedy company issue.

Sorry to disagree with your thought processs.
Paycheck to paycheck? Like anyone in any job, live within your means. There are a lot of people working and making much less than GM employees and are able to live on their income.
Outsourcing GM and autoworkers are not the only people affected by outsourcing. Think IT jobs over the last 10 yrs.. Did you support those folks when their jobs were outsourced? Doubt it since they don't get the press that autoworkers do.

Are you frigging nuts? Who in their wildest dreams think it should be the people buying GM vehicles that should have to find alternatives to their vehicles? I just spent over 70k on a new Chevy PU and need parts under warranty. And you think it's my responsibility to just let it sit while GM and autoworkers attempt to work out their differences. If I'm forced to find an alternative, it will be with a new NON Union vehicle.
