Once you start throwing that kind of money around, things like lihium battery, carbon fiber rims, a dual inject titanium rod 427 with twin turbo are all within reach and it is not like the C8 is that far behind even in base-model form. McLaren is going put a billion dollars into doubling production to 6500 units a year (going from memory now). Maybe they can do it??? dunno as I'm a CHEVY driver, don't rub noses with the elite. Vette production is 30K to 40K and IMO will rise from there. To me it is American Graffiti. how has enough money to take down the Japanese guys in the Shelby Road Cobra.... Clearly with off the shelf stuff the LT powered C8 is going to be a force of nature, and once some serious cash gets into it, yea 1000+ HP is going to be the new normal for the average C8 Vette owner...
