Well I happen to like manual transmissions and also simplicity in cars and trucks. My 97 Wrangler is as simple as it gets and so easy to work on. Straight 6, manual transmission, everything is screwed together in the dash, plain AM/FM radio, manual door locks, manual ignition and not even roll down windows- zippers. Love it. And for my driving style I get better gas mileage with a manual n almost any vehicle.

But I also like automatics- they are faster and better for drag racing. I'm in a M6 in my Camaro, my second Camaro as my 2017 with the A8 was horrible just due to the A8 shudder and slipping. Hopefully Chevy gets the transmission right in the C8.

Also the Camaro has lots more room than the C8- you can fit in three with a pinch but can't do that in a C8. And the C8 has very limited cargo room. So the Camaro is more functional than a C8 in terms of practicality.
