I too use a product that is similar, that I came across nearly 35 years ago and still use....its called OSPHO and is still available, back then I got it at a marine supply store, now you can actually order it off Amazon. the last time I bought some, it came in the same 32 oz. bottle that the original came in that I bought 35 years ago. its the consistency of water....and it too is reusable. I have even used it on rusted parts of a frame.....wired brushed off the flaky stuff and used a cheap paint brush to coat it and let it dry....done deal.
