If I'm whining, it should have stayed front engine rear wheel drive. As I suspected they eluded to AWD coming mentioning the first mid engine prototype.
Whining aside, the car has the guts of a Corvette for sure. I'm glad they stuck with a V8. I'm glad it's still "modestly" priced. I'm glad that it will be capable of staying up with and in many cases embarrassing cars many times its price point. I find it humerus that they mentioned being able to fit 2 sets of golf clubs in their presentation.

I think the car will sell pretty well, but I think there will be a lot of purists that will snub their noses at it as well.
