but if you only have half a pencil... how is that different than half a gallon of milk. you only have half of the starting amount. its still milk, it doesnt matter how much you have, it is still milk. it could be a half gallon, a pint, a quart, a full gallon, but it is still milk

I have some other questions since it seems this is just one of those threads for goofy stuff: Our universe started with the the Big Bang but where did the matter(or whatever it is) for the big bang come from? When did space start? Why does anything even exist?? We'd always ponder these questions when I was at university......before or after classes of course.

believe it or not, but other particle accelterators have been doing stuff like that for years. the thing to keep in mind is that the possible black holes that will be created will be so minute and weak that they disappear miliseconds after they are created.
