Watch the attached video. Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is interviewing Ken Morris at the CT4-V / CTV-5 reveal. Ken was very instrumental in the fact that V-Series exists at all and was driving one of the camouflaged cars at the Grand Prix (Mark Reuss was driving the other). Ken's comments start at about 0:35. But listen closely to what he says at 0:45. He laid it right out that there will be two levels of V-Series and that the one that was introduced was for people who want to drive the car but not be overwhelmed by the power. He pretty much acknowledged that a much more powerful V is coming.
Now, why GM chose this particular way to roll that out? Who knows.
