That being said, I know it's not like GM to do this, but I think the kneejerk reactions could have been avoided entirely if they had either shown or at least teased the Blackwing cars or whatever we're calling the high performance models in greater detail. Most of the Internet right now just sees these as the outright ATS-V/CTS-V replacements rather than the start of a new line of performance cars from Cadillac.

I get what they are doing but that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. They are responding to the people that want a V series badge but they don’t want any of the compromises made for the badge. They are basically watering it down for people that would probably put a V badge on a base model just to look cool.
