Also, to some extent, taking more practicality out of a car by reducing rear seat room and trunk space compared to the competition (ie Mustang) will not be good for increasing sales.
No matter how hard 6th gen owners try to convince themselves that their Camaro's are now sports cars, it still competes primarily with the Mustang and to a lesser degree the Challenger.
