Page 4 of the attached federal gas guzzler tax document in 2006 shows the GTO with all the other imports.

I know the GTO was subject to the gas guzzler tax. It still has NOTHING to do with it being an imported vehicle. It’s been a law since the late 70s to penalize car buyers who want cars with bad fuel economy.
