Bucket list item for me was to one day buy a brand new corvette. If Corvette goes upmarket and Camaro is positioned in it's place. Sorry would not even consider it. I don't care how fast it is, how good it handles, any of that. It's not a Corvette and never will be.
Which is why I am praying the base C-8 maintains the affordability previous gen corvettes have had.

Same for me. I wanted a C7 Z51 when I was shopping back in 2016-2017. I loved Corvette's and I am hardly a Camaro person. Outside of exterior design, I was not much of a fan of the 5th gen( interior was lousy, didn't like how it drove, super lame the auto version had a different engine that made less HP than the LS3, etc). The C7 was outside of my price range and I didn't want to go the used route. That is where the 6th gen Camaro entered and I have zero regrets because the performance between the 6th gen and C7 isn't that far apart it doesn't feel like a compromise.
