Without the knowledge learned from the Corvette DP program I guarantee the Caddy DPi wouldn't be as successful. The Corvette DP's were nearly untouchable when they raced in IMSA. Sure it was just body work over a spec Chassis, but it would be silly to assume GM didn't gather info/data for future race/road cars.
