2014 ecotec3 4.3L 100,000 miles 19.1 mpg lifetime average crew 4x4 with current gas price 2.65vs 2.25 you would need to avg 22.5mpg in the 6.2 to break even. Is that happening?
My truck's:

2016 4.3L CC 4x4 SB - I can't use lifetime average as it spent time idling that the 6.2 did not. Best 500km (~300 miles) fuel econ without idling = 19.1-19.2mpg - Work truck which was replaced last June with a Traverse.

2017 6.2 Denali CC 4x4 SB - Using same criteria, best 300 miles over the same roads, weather conditions, etc = 23.5mpg

Previous 2014 6.2 Denali CC 4x4 SB (Same criteria) = 21.75mpg - I attribute this to the A6 vs A8, traded this truck for the 2017 @ 60,000 miles.

Edit: Regardless, I spend more time towing and hauling with my 6.2 than my work truck, so I compared empty numbers. I can't even imagine trying to tow 1000lbs with the 4.3, let alone the 9000+ I have on many occasions with my 6.2s.
