I completely understand that. It sucks for the people affected. But 90503 is trying to connect the Blazer being produced in Mexico and Lordstown closing as a decision made at the same time when it probably wasn't even close to being done in a fashion where producing the Blazer in Lordstown would have even been an option for GM to consider.
What doomed Detroit most likely as well was the death of the Impala. Everything else Detroit produced was low volume. It's like how the Camaro is( or was supposed to) keep LGR sprawling. Kill the volume product that keeps a plant productive, the plant most likely doesn't have long to remain open.
