Lordstown and Hamtramck didn't merit anything worthwhile new to keep them open. Mexico gets the new Blazer to keep it's plant open that is losing the Mexican Cruze. The best selling vehicle, full size Silverado, isn't worth keeping US workers employed by building Silverados or Blazers. Canada is probably still behind the US in losing workers in favor of Mexico. Sure, the US builds a lot more vehicles than the others, but the trend for profits and future products seems to be non US. Mexico is the beneficiary of high demand products sold in the US by GM, not US workers.
