Need help identifying an old war movie

Well, since Scalded Dog's movie question got answered so quickly ... here's a harder one.

Its set in WWII. Probably made in the 60s or maybe early 70s. I'm guessing because it was in colour, but the quality wasn't great. Looked similar in that regard to The Great Escape, Kellys Heros, and Battle of the Bulge.

As for the plot ... the good guys, for whatever reason, are behind enemy lines and are escaping via a train. Most of the drama comes from the heros getting delayed (damaged track, rockslides, etc) and doing those same kinds of things to delay the pursuing German troop train. Much of the movie takes place in the mountains (I would assume its the Alps) and I think the climactic battle takes place at the mouth of a tunnel.

I've been trying to figure out what this movie is for ages. I remember watching it on TV around 20 years ago and every now and then, something reminds me that this movie exists ... but I have no clue what it was called. I don't even think it was a particularly good movie (not that I would have known back then). Just something that History would put on the air now & then when most of their content was based around WWII.

So if this sounds at all similar to a movie that any of you know, please share. Thanks.
