A couple of weeks ago I picked up my 2018 SS 1LE and figured I should introduce myself, as I plan to be spending plenty of time on the forum doing research and hopefully also helping others as well.
My name is Jeff and I come from pretty much everything in the automotive world except American made. I had done extensive research on the 2018+ Mustang GT PP2 and was pretty much set on picking one up, but before I spent all that money, I needed to make sure I was cross shopping all appropriate alternatives. I had also entertained the idea of buying a lightly tickled GT350, but once I stumbled upon the SS 1LE all bets were off.
From watching tons of video reviews and also reading plenty of articles on my own, it was a no brainer for me. The SS 1LE for the price is just in a league of it's own. Once I secured the price @ $40K, it was time to pull the trigger.
I immediately fell in love with the low end torque.. Something not had in any of my vehicles. I have owned a few turbo Honda's including my 2001 S2000 and my most recent vehicle was a FBO Stage 2 APR HT Golf R, but still, the lag was killing me regardless of how apparent it was. I was all smiles driving the SS off the lot and don't think I've stopped since that night.
I'm happy to be a part of the Gen 6 family and hope to make some good friendships here through my journey owning one.
