The 8L90 is a strong transmission, the torque converter and TCM programming just need fixing. Circle D, FTI, and now Yank ( https://www.converter.cc/category_s/140.htm#) appear to offer torque converter replacements. So couple that with a TCM program and you should be in great shape IMO.  |
definitely. good to know as well. I own the 8l45, but both use a 258mm TQ converter.
trying to see if there are any differences between the two, and if not, its just gonna be a matter of finding a core to send down to em and let em play with it. also I know Tracy Lewis is coming out with one as well. but not sure if its drag racing based as they are doing a lot of work with two of the cars running the Overkill S/C
