So, I saw a thread somewhere wherein someone mentioned the possible resurrection of the IROC Z.
Then I come in here and I see an LS under a hood, but nothing else made sense... alternator up high, battery under the hood, no fuse box, air cleaner on the wrong side, radiator fill port in the wrong place, different grill and hood latch etc.....
I finally went back and looked and saw you have what appears to be an LS swapped IROC which is cool as hell in any book...
I’ll try to keep up from now on... miss one day of school and I’m miles behind the class...
Please carry on as you were...

I purchased the IROC-Z about 3 years ago as a project car. My initial plan was to teach my son how to rebuild the original engine. Unfortunately, I learned that he does not like to get grease under his fingernails. So after reading several threads on different forums I decided to do with an LS Swap. It has a complete Cruise & Connect LS3 / 480 HP package that I purchased from Chevrolet. It's amazing how many kits are available to do an LS Swap for Gen 3 Camaro's!
It's taken a little over 3 years, I've done most of the work myself but I'm on the home stretch now. Just need to get it painted and install the interior. I'm hoping to have it ready for the Daytona Turkey Run Car Show that starts Thanksgiving Day - But that is probably being a little optimistic!
