If they are benchmarking the ZL1 we all know why that is, but rumor is there will be an 'R' version for the GT500 too. I don't think the standard GT500 will exceed performance of non-1LE ZL1(excluding straight line speed). Anyway that 700 HP figure has been thrown around a lot, that's a lot of power for a stock car. Even with that weight, it will run good in a 1/4 mile with the auto. Although I'm sure people who have been heavily anticipating the car are disappointed with the curb weight number....
