I think that Chrysler is looking at the success of the GMC brand and trying to make that sort of success part of the Ram's identity. By bundling it with Dodge, the focus of Dodge is too divided. They're good at trucks, so they tend to let cars slide. Now, they have no choice but to work hard on their worst assets and make them more competitive. Hopefully, this decision leads to great Chrysler cars and keeps the truck line as competitive as it has always been.
