Not a muscle car, but a clear example of how big cars used to be. A friend / co-worker had been assigned a Suburban as a company vehicle. He also had just picked up a ‘73 Eldorado Convertible. That’s a 2-door convertible, folks. It was longer than the Suburban. In order to close his garage door, he had to back the Eldorado up to kiss the back wall. Didn’t have to do that with the Suburban.
