I always chuckle when I see Jeep bragging about the off-road capability of things the Compass or Patriot. Nobody picks those Jeeps because they need a small crossover that can tackle a rough trail ... they buy them because they want to pretend like they could.





As for making the new Blazer a grocery getter for soccer moms ... isn't that what they were 15 years ago anyway? Sure it was still an SUV based on a truck, but just like with the Jr Jeeps, people who actually bought them to use the capability (vs 'ugh, I am NOT buying a minvan') were probably few and far between.
