Apparently the 1ss doesn't stream music or have a usb port? Mine doesn't. The radio has an aux option but neither the radio nor my android galaxy 8 will detect each other. Anyone familiar?

Plug the headphone jack into the Aux port, set the radio input to Aux, and use the player of your choice on the Android. I use Google Play.
It isn't going to display any info on the screen.
Playing CDs does display info.
There was a Connect and Convenience option available for the 1LT/1SS. It added Bluetooth and a USB port, along with steering wheel radio controls. I think the short-throw shifter was a more popular option an the 1's.
