Maybe that's what he said but, really meant finishing up the TCM quick learn or something similar. He could be using the phrase 'reprogramming the transmission' loosely since he probably deals with a lot of people who aren't very 'car savvy' and would only be confused if he started getting too technical. Hope that made sense.
