I know, that's why I used it for reference. Put a great driver in each and I was under impression a manual was probably going to have the edge. I remember when these were pretty new, the closest I could get to one was drooling over them in magazines. I thought they usually had the manual taking a small lead on the 0-60 and 1/4 times
I have heard the auto really wakes up with a just tune as well!. But, then it isn't stock I guess, even though the parts are. Either way, I would sure agree your average driver would be faster (or at least more consistent) with the A6
And, while I prefer manual, I definitely wouldn't be calling someone "slow" just because of an auto, that's for sure! There's a reason the really really fast cars are almost all autos!
