Dude.. that's my story now too (why I just changed my Drives thing). Found out that they're saving money up to fix the wheel bearings and then dumping Christine back in my lap in Dec. after I graduate (BS in Aviation Maint. Tech, A&P license, and a Gen. Bus. Minor).
Can't drive my dad's truck unfortunately since it's a company truck for the course and I'm not on the policy. For an 04 Silverado HD it sure feels like 104K miles. But it drives like a million bucks. Just like the 97 Cheyanne that still only has 114K miles. Used to be his DD until they bought him the '04. Swapped over in '03 when the truck had 94K miles. Now it's hardly left the course grounds.
Needs a new bed because it's been sitting out in the winter, but damn if they ever get him a new truck I'm jumping on that truck first chance I get. It's the reason why I love older Silverados. We always took the cartpaths in both the new and old Silverados.. tons of fun.
