Yes, so explain why Buick was ranked #1 in Long-term Reliability by JD Power and Associates over lexus and toyota. America can't build reliable cars, right?

And if you want cars that last, take a look at our '89 GMC Safari that lasted well over 290,000 miles and our '93 Saturn SW2 which lasted over 243,000 miles.

Oh, and let's not forget the millions of toyotas damaged by engine sludge. Many owners were told by toyota to screw off when they complained. And the truck frame rust problems...

AND, our floormats won't try to kill you.

To the OP: No, you weren't out of line. I would've done the same thing. You could've also reminded him that toyota trucks are among the least fuel efficient on the market.
