Agreed. I think that unexpected happening was the ZL1 1LE...... I don't think they expected Chevy to drop the LT4 in a Camaro, keep it at full HP TQ like the vette version, wrap it in the most track capable Camaro ever built (suspension/Aero/etc) and get it in customer's garages by July of 2017.
I think that had them back at the drawing board playing catch up.
So.....I think it isn't a big deal if a year and 1/2 later a Mustang that will be unattainable under $100k comes out with 50 or 60 more HP. You will see very few of any of them on the track - and - that gives Chevy 18 months to leapfrog the GT500. Again.
That's why they call it the "Pony car wars".....its good for all of us that like fast muscle cars....enjoy it while it lasts!!
