Lol, whole thing is a cluster waiting to happen. 2 scenarios (more exist for sure)...
Say a wreck is in the middle of the road and an officer directs you to drive on the median on in the grass? Does the car just sit for 6+ hours until cleaned up?
What about someone who has road rage and cuts you off? Will the car simply stop for them and wait?
I don't think there is enough data to circumvent all of the possibilities to warrant removal of a steering wheel.
