We will see these deployed in certain cities across the nation in the near future. I'm faily certain Vegas already has driverless cars circulating the city.

But we have a long ways to go before these cars start driving anywhere and everywhere that we are used to today. The infrastructure can't support the technology everywhere (crappy maintained roads) and there is another big factor to consider....weather. How is one of these cars going to drive around in a snowstorm with drifts on the sides of the roads using cameras and standard GPS? Not gonna happen.

Anyways...you wouldn't catch me riding around too far in one of these guys. But I'm sure it will happen eventually.
