Well sorry, you have to settle for this SS. It’s almost stupid how expensive muscle cars are getting. Remember when a Camaro SS was $32,000? That’s less than what the average American pays for a new car. It’s relatively affordable. We need a Cheap Camaro SS again.

Well you have to figure that cars are coming with way better tech and features than ever before. That drives up the cost. 10 years ago you would have never found a 650 hp car with heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel, wifi, etc. Heck some of these cars have heated cup holders. All this stuff drives up the price. And sure they get you excited with the higher up models and then sell you the cheaper ones...but that only happens to people who can't afford the higher up models. Since the Demon was announced Dodge saw an increase in sales. Those aren't Demon or Hellcat sales. But people get excited and if they can't afford the Demon or Hellcat or ZL1 or Shelby then they'll settle for anything they can get. It happens all the time. It gets people in the door which is good for the dealership.

They better. The ZL1 will have been on the streets for 2 MYs by the time the GT500 gets out. That means Ford has had plenty of time to get their ducks in a row. If it outperforms the ZL1 then it better since they had all this time to make it better. It it doesn't then that just shows how good the ZL1 really is.
