'13 GT500 released in 2012 had 662hp as posted above.
As has been mentioned above by Martinjlm, Ford isn't benchmarking Camaro with the GT500, they will likely set their sights higher.
Look at Ford's history: 03 Cobra, first SC pony car when the Camaro/Firebird were left to die and nothing from Dodge, 500hp GT500 still no direct competition, then 662hp in 2012 going above ZR1 numbers...
A 725hp GT500 and 815hp GT500R would definitely get some attention.
