Wouldn't a metal actuator door but too much strain on the vent motor? I feel like GM went with plastic for not only cost reasons, but weight as well.

I wouldn't chance it. You'd be better off buying a used OEM SS front bumper and getting it painted at a reputable shop. That way the shop can paint match it to your car and if you're not satisfied...

I'm currently looking into lowering my 2011 2LT/RS Camaro. After installing H&R lowering springs on my 2013 C63, there were many complications that left a bad taste in my mouth with lowering springs....
