LT1 disappointment

My salesman is a long time friend as well as the dealer. It was due Wednesday and came in Tuesday. He put it in the show room as a precaution for it's care. I was fine with that.

Got my LT1 today

Ordered March 1, came in May 10. Like the Sharkskin/ash. Automatic, dual mode exhaust, lip spoiler, and Bose.
Month of May, Camaro has 750.00 rebate. Also got 500.00 military and 218.00 G.M. rewards.

LT1 due in May 11

Trying to not to get overly excited as my dealer says my LT1 should arrive May 11.
Sharkskin over ash gray, rear lip spoiler, dual mode, automatic, and Bose sound.

As I thought, delivery pushed back

I was finally given a May 11 delivery date. Today, march 27, my salesman called and said now June 5.
Can't understand two things.
How can it take longer to ship a car than it takes to build it ?...
