Interesting, I'd like to know more about his install also. I put the factory light back in until I get the other parts. Removing that stock housing seems to be the hardest part of the whole process.

Helpful. Glad to know it wasn't so bad doing it yourself. There's way too much movement in the rear when cornering so I'll be doing them soon.

If anything the paint may act as an insulator keeping more heat in the tubing but the reality is there would be no change at all. t409 is also the material used for OEM exhaust.

The Philips Ultinon (6000k) or Osram CBI (5000k) should give you what you're looking for. I have yet to see an LED bulb designed to replace a D based bulb like OEM.
