I did this on my 2011 LT and it works great. I did have to use a 5mm spacer due to a brembo brake upgrade I installed. If you have the original brakes, I don’t think you’ll need the spacer.

+1 ended up doing the same to clear a brembo brake upgrade on my 1LT. As I researched this on this forum, seems like most have had no issues and have not needed to use a spacer.
