In my experience with other cars, most stumbling/roughness issues are ignition issues - could even be a bad ground...

-Open the Android Auto app on your phone
-Go to Settings
-Tap "Autolaunch"
-Turn "Pocket Detection" off

This worked for me when my phone suddenly started having issues connecting.
