They fixed mine under warranty. Replaced all the synchros and 2nd gear. I am the second owner so dont know what the first owner did to the tranny. Anyway, got it back from the dealer and it is smooth...

All I know is it sucks...no car dash should have cracks at 43k miles. And some of you have cracks even earlier. Poor engineering. Safety or not, it should be a recall with a replacement that fixes...
